I'm really excited to annonce this. Yes, I know every company uses that phrase. It's become meaningless. But in this case it's true. I'm actually super excited to release this feature.
We've had comment voting for a long time now, but the voting didn't actually do anything else. Now it does. Now the best comments rise to the top.
You will see in forums and on exercises that the comments are now ordered by votes.
Why is this a big deal?
Because it makes the most helpful comments easy to find. they are right there at the top of the list.
This feature is the feature behind the success of popular sites like Quora. Quora helps people find the best answers to their questions. Also Reddit. Reddit helps people find the best...well I don't know. And Stackoverflow. Where programmers go to get their questions answered.
