We joined the program a few weeks ago but we are now trying to do it properly and more consistently. My daughter is 6 years old, will turn 7 in April and has dyslexia. Due to her difficulties and age it is hard to get her to cooperate most of the time. It would be really nice to be in contact with other parents going through the same difficulties.
We are a bilingual home but I have been not trying so hard to focus on the second language after finding so many struggles at school. I am a bit lost on the subject as I want to raise my daughter bilingual but I don't want her to fall so behind at school so we spend most of the time working on reading, spelling and math. She loves math and doesn't show signs of dyscalculia. However, she is a bit behind because she can't read the questions and because until she was recently diagnosed she had not learned anything at school ( 2 years! ) . She was pretending that didn't care about learning trying to hide her difficulties.
I hope we can all help each other in such a difficult but worthwhile journey of helping our children :)
